Challenge #45: The power of positive thinking

Learn a thing or two about positive thinking and start practicing it.

The power of positive thinking

“Positive thinking will let you do everything better than negative thinking will.”

-Zig Ziglar

Hey, guys!

This week’s challenge is all about you, about the power you have. About the power of positive thinking. It has long been thought of as a “hocus pocus”, but over the past few years, many scientific pieces of research have provided us with the scientific proof we needed.

Of course, there is still a lot we don’t know about the human brain, however, the power of positive thinking is something we can no longer doubt. Moreover, it is something we should all learn about and start practicing it. Positive thinking is something each individual and the whole society can benefit from greatly.

What is positive thinking?

By a definition, it is a mental attitude in which you expect good and favorable results. In other words, it means to do the best you can to focus your energy on creating positive thoughts. Instead of thinking about all the bad things that might or could happen, we should be creating our thoughts about all the positive things we’d like for to happen.

“Every thought we think is creating our future.”

-Louise Hay

The power of positive thinking

You’ve all heard of a placebo effect before, right? Well, that’s one of the best examples of the human brain power. Many people got better thinking they were given a medicine pill, while in fact, they’ve been taking a sugar pill. Furthermore, there have also been so-called “placebo” surgeries performed – that’s when they perform a “fake” surgery by only cutting a few small cuts on the surface of the patient into getting them to think they have undergone a real surgery. A lot of those patients actually got better.

With every thought, we emit energy in form of electromagnetic pulses. Frequencies of positive thoughts differ from the negative ones. So, we can say we emit positive energy by creating happy, positive thoughts.

We understand that the latter might sound a bit strange and hard to believe for many of you, but that’s just the way it is. It’s science.

Avoid negative thoughts

The same way that the positive thinking “emits” positive energy, negative thinking emits negative energy. That’s why you should do the best you can to avoid it as much as possible.

It doesn’t mean you should (even if you could) completely prevent negative thought from popping into your mind. It’s usually something we have no control over. However, when it happens you should immediately think of some other positive things to replace those negative thoughts. This might be hard at first, but with time you’ll make a habit out of it and before you’ll know it you’ll be doing it automatically. And that is your goal.

Moreover, by replacing negative thoughts with positive ones you’ll send your brain that negative thoughts are unwanted and it will start avoiding them subconsciously.
